大花园Giardino原来是圣彼得主教座堂的所在地，1806年，拿破仑夺回维内多省，把主教座堂拆掉成花园，就是现今的绿园城堡。1895年第一届威尼斯双年展开办时就以此地作为展览地点，而后Giardino便以举办双年展闻名。
